How to apply for the Indian visa
Applying for a visa for India online is quick and easy. First, fill in the online application form. Then proceed to payment with Credit card, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Trustly or PayPal. Finally, upload a passport photo and a passport scan. Your visa application for India will then be complete. You will receive your visa by e-mail after an average of 7 days. You will only need to print it out and take it with you during your trip.
Start your Indian visa application on time, preferably as soon as you know the address of your first overnight stay.
Apply early to avoid last minute problems
The Indian visa application form includes a number of questions that not all travelers can answer straight away. For example, you will have to fill in information about each traveller's parents, the addresses of their previous accommodations in India, information about countries visited during previous trips and, in certain cases, old visa and passport numbers. Since it can take time to collect this information, you are advised to start your application as early as possible.

The e-Tourist visa for India
You can apply for the e-Tourist visa for India if you are visiting India for a holiday or if you are visiting family or friends in the country. There are several visa types available with different validity periods. The standard e-visa allows you to stay a maximum of 30 days in the country (double entry). The visa with a validity period of one year (multiple-entry) allows you to stay a maximum of 90 consecutive days per visit. To be elegible for the visa, you must comply with all the visa requirements.
The e-Business for India
Business travellers can apply for the e-Business visa, which allows a maximum stay of 180 days per trip in India (multiple-entry) within a validity period of one year. You can apply for the business visa with the same application form. Business travelers must also meet a series of requirements.
In addition to their passport scan and passport photograph, business travellers must also upload an invitation letter and their business card, not the business card of the partner they will visit in India. Travellers who do not have a business card can easily make one themselves, in Word or Photoshop if necessary. An e-mail signature will also be accepted, provided it contains the same information as a business card. Only the organisation that the traveller is going to visit in India can write the invitation letter.
e-Conference visa for India
Travellers who visit India to take part in a conference, seminar or workshop need to apply for a e-Conference visa. This type of visa allows them to stay in India up to 30 days and enter the country only one time (single-entry).
e-Medical e-visa for India
Travellers visiting India for medical purposes can apply for an e-Medical visa, which allows a stay of up to 60 days. Travellers with this visa can enter the country three times (triple-entry).
e-Ayush visa for India
The e-Ayush visa is intended for travellers undergoing medical treatment in the field of homeopathy, ayurveda or yoga. This visa allows you to stay in the country for up to 60 days. You may enter the country up to three times with this visa (triple entry).

Applications are processed within 7 days on average
Once you have completed all required steps, your application will be processed. The immigration department will need an average of 7 days to approve or reject your application. In both cases, you will immediately receive a notification (both by text message and e-mail). As soon as you have received the visa, you can download an print it. You can then immediately check in on your flight to India.
If you sumbit an urgent application, you will receive your visa in an average of 24 hours. However, this delivery time cannot be guaranteed.
Delivery within 24 hours is possible, but not guaranteed
You can indicate in the application form that you need your visa urgently. If you do so, your application will be reviewed immediately (even outside office hours), and the quality of the uploaded documents will be checked (sharpness, neatly cropped, in colour, etc.). The filled-in details will be compared with the passport scan provided. If everything is correct, your application will be submitted to the Immigration Department in India. Urgent applications are granted within 24 hours on average. However, no exact guarantee can be given for the processing time, as your application could be subjected through a random manual check which could cause delays.
